Academic Fellowship

Partnering with academic researchers, labs, and institutions

Inviting graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and early career academics in any area of research

OneReach.ai’s mission is to make sure technology leaves no one behind. Partnering with academic researchers, labs, and institutions is an integral piece of this broad initiative.

OneReach.ai has created a no-code/low-code, browser-based platform that simplifies complex conversational design and deployment. This allows users to quickly build conversational applications that operate over any communication channel. From a scientific perspective, this gives researchers a tool to quickly automate interactions with participants through the communication channel of their choice—from text to voice to WhatsApp, email, Slack, or whatever channels are most suitable.

With minimal training, applications that can present participants with nudges, questions, or surveys—and record participant responses—can be built, tested, and deployed in a matter of days, if not hours. Researchers no longer need to rely on inflexible third-party applications or expensive software developers to connect with study participants over a smartphone.

The OneReach.ai Academic Fellowship was established in 2022 in partnership with OxfordAI to enable early career researchers to create novel research tools and workflows driven by conversational AI.

Successful applications will receive access to the OneReach.ai platform for the length of their project, training on the platform, and research funds to enable the completion of their project.

“Using the OneReach.ai platform, I built a bot that interacts with psychedelic users through the Telegram app to record their thoughts and feelings before and after psychedelic experiences. The goal is to capture their thoughts in a natural setting, and then apply machine learning models to the data to find correlates of improvements in mental health. Ultimately, the research aims to predict who may benefit the most from psychedelic therapies.“

We'd love to hear from you

Graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and early career academics in any area of research are invited to submit a CV along with a simple one-page overview of a research question of broad importance that they believe can be explored using conversational AI. The summary should be a one page proposal that outlines:
  1. The research problem and why it’s important.
  2. How conversational AI can address the problem.
  3. The proposed study.
